The system allows you to Lock a CRF/Visit which has a Signed status (except for CRFs/Visits that have Removed and Signed statuses)

Only data managers can Lock data.

After you Lock a CRF/Visit:

  1. You can: view or remove a CRF
  2. You cannot:
    • Edit or add new data into CRF
    • Verify data
    • Sign data
    • Work with Note and Discrepancy

Lock a CRF Manually


Go to a CRF which is Signed and not Locked → The system displays a Lock button.

After you Lock successfully, the CRF has a  icon next its status.

When all CRFs in a Visit are Locked → the system automatically changes the status of the Visit to Locked.

Lock a Visit Manually


Go to a Visit which is Signed and not Locked → the system displays a Lock button.


After you Lock a Visit successfully, its status is updated to Locked () and all CRFs in this Visit are also Locked.
