Manage users on the system
Managing users on the system can only be done by user with administrative rights on the system.
Organization of users on the CheckPad system
Account classification:
- technical admin: account to control technical aspects of the system
- business admin: account to control business aspects of the system
- user: account assigned to use basic functions of study
Only technical admins and business admins can configure the system. System configuration is set in the main menu.
Root account
root is a special technical admin account used to set up the system and has maximum adminstrative rights. Only root account can create and manage accounts to at technical admin level.
Levels of rights for user accounts
Levels of rights decrease in the following order: root > technical admin > business admin
- Only the root account can create and manage technical admins
- technical admins can create and manage business admin and user
- business admins can create and manage user accounts
Administer User
Path: Admin → User → Administer Users.
Layout:
- Pagination: pagination to approve user by list
- Lookup user: Search user by name
- Create New User
- User Table: Table with the following information:
- Login name: Username
- Name: First Name, Last Name
- Current user status: Available, Removed
- Assigned study/site
- Action buttons with user:
- View user information
- Assign user to study/site
- Remove user
- Change rights assignment with each site
Manage users
Create new user
There are two methods to access the "Create new user" dialogue:
- Click on "Create New User" from user management dialogue
- Click on "Create New User" from main menu
User needs to fill in the following information:

Choose "Submit" to create new user.
Update user information
According to levels of rights, user with business admin role or higher can update the information of subordinate accounts.
To update profile information, click on the "Edit" button of the corresponding account.

Remove, recover user
To remove or recover user, click on the corresponding icon on the interface.
Manage roles from user management page
Assign new role
- To assign new role, user needs to select the corresponding 'Edit' button
- Select the desired site
Remove role assignment
- To remove assigned role, user needs to select the corresponding 'Remove' button of the role to be removed
- Confirm action
Recover role assignment
- To recover removed role, user needs to select the corresponding 'Recover' button of the role to be removed
- Confirm action
